Fudge :(

March was a good month for us in terms of how many new clients we registered and things we got up to but it was very sad that we had to let Fudge go. We think he had a stroke. Even now its weird expect to go to the kennels and him be there or when you hear a noise you think its him coming out to help. We have other cats in at the moment looking for a home but there will only ever be one fudgey!

MARCHING ON!

Well we have now been open 3 months and things are really starting to come together. Our in house referral to an eye specialist has taken off. Even though we didn't advertise it our Ophthalmologist saw three cases and did an operation. In a few weeks we are hoping to put up proper photos from start to finish although the dog in questions eye are looking much better already and best of all she still runs in to see us and getting excited! Our Dental promotion went very well and resulted in us removing 195 teeth from cats and dogs and filing down the teeth of 4 rabbits. We successfully managed to find loving homes for the rabbits and cats we had at the surgery, and I think Fudge our practice cat is pleased to be back being the only one. Statistics wise it is getting more difficult to narrow down our clients as we are seeing definately a wide variety of species. The Jones's are still the most popular surname and Molly remains our most popular pets name although we did welcome a cat called erm snotface to the practice! We definately know we have made it as vets as we saw two hens who have affectionately been called Sarah and Fiona. Best of all after they had been examined one of them laid us an egg! And here they are :-

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNT?
Well good things come to those that wait we finally have a business phone line that works anywhere in the surgery and allows more than one phone to ring at once! Although we have inherited a phantom phoner. Since we announced on facebook that we had a new phone line we have come into the surgery every morning to find someone has left a voicemail message of an animal. We have had a dog barking , a cow mooing and my personal favourite a monkey i suspect in pain anyway phantom phoner we appreciate your efforts it certainly makes us smile!
We have still been having phonecalls for Gwynedd plastics so there is still room for improvement with BT!!!
Now the phone line is in place we will be taking on more staff to help with the demand. We are up to 2 receptionists and have a qualified nurse on the team so far

MOST UNUSUAL REQUEST
Do you know what would make a good companion for my pet snail...... another snail?

HOPES FOR MONTH 4
Well things are starting to come together, hopefully the phone line keeps working and hopefully we keep registering lots of new clients. March has Easter in it and we hope that clients lock away all the chocolate and hot cross buns. Chocolate, raisins and sultanas are potentially poisonous to dogs .
