Case of the Month - January 2014 Luca Rabbits Foot

Luca is an amazing 11 years old, which for a rabbit is a great age but she started life off as a wild rabbit so 11 is even better. We saw Luca after her owner noticed that's she was distressed and her foot abnormally. When she came  down to the surgery could feel the bones in her toes crunching and it was suspected that Luca had broken her toes ....

Pets as Therapy (PAT) Charity

Many thanks to Mrs Bradshaw, who following our New Years Resolutions of doing something charitable and has sent these gorgeous pictures of her dogs Gwenno and Sandy who are pat dogs. Pat is a charity founded in 1983. It is a community based charity providing therapeutic visits to hospitals, hospices, nursing and care homes, special needs schools and a variety of other establishments from volunteers with their pet dogs and cats.  Gwenno and Sandy visit Ysgol Gogarth and I am hoping to share some photos from there of the sheer delight on the people's faces when they meet these two lovely girls.

Greenfields Donation Station Update

Thank you very much to Sandra Jones who gave us the following update from Greenfields Greyhound rescue.

Hello everyone. Thought I'd give you a quick update and photos of the journey of the Christmas donation to Greenfields Greyhound Rescue. Helen met Hayley, our GGR North Wales contact, at one of the fosterer's homes today to hand over the goodies. Apart from the tins of Chappie which stayed with this fosterer for Wilbur, who can only can eat this make, everything else is to be distributed to the fosterers for this area who do a fantastic job taking greyhounds into their homes and helping them to adjust to domestic life with comfy sofas and lots of love until they are ready for rehoming.

Clyde (Helen's dog) had to inspect everything first and gave it the ok to go (not before trying to sneak a toy away though!).

At the fosterer's Timmy was given the toy, however, Betsy, the "little" minx, decided she was having it.

Helen said Hayley and the fosterers all said how wonderful this stuff was and how much difference it will make.
